Landscaping
Track and field facilities are generally bordering artificial and/or natural grasses. Landscaping, such as trees and shrubs, should not be placed adjacent to the track and field facility. Trees drop leaves and needles that increase the cost to maintain the facility. Trees also produce sediment that can clog drainage systems, and produce shade which encourages slimy substances to grow.
