Concrete

Concrete is used for the discus and shot put pads. It can also be used for edging features. When building curbs with concrete, keep in mind that the recommendations set forth in the “Subsurface Drainage” section should be followed. Concrete should never be used as a platform for track surfaces. Track surfaces do not adhere to concrete like they do asphalt.

Geotextiles for Soil Stability
When the existing soils, upon which your track and field facility are constructed, are suspect, there are numerous geotextile products that can add stability and isolate the subgrade from the stone base.  When using the proper geotextile products you can render a system that will support the construction of the track and event pavements.
