A few things we’ve learned over the years
Under-drains are as important as surface drains.

Nothing sticks well to concrete. That includes polymer concrete

NEVER put the measure line distance on a set of plans. Someone may actually use it as a construction dimension.

Keep fences three feet from the outermost track lanes. NEVER put a fence inside a track.

More slope is better. It lengthens the life of track surfaces and the pavement underneath.

When writing specifications for track surfaces, always include very specific material quantities. It alerts the surfacing contractor to the fact that you plan to pay attention when they are installing their products and that you have knowledge of what is required to meet the design parameters. This goes a long way towards assuring a quality job and protects the owner’s interest.
